JHAH becomes first hospital in Eastern Province to receive world-class accreditation with distinction for nursing residency program

Nursing Residency Program – NRP Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare is accredited with distinction as a Practice Transition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs.

The Nursing Residency Program at Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) has been awarded the highest level of accreditation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), placing it at the forefront of nurse training in the Middle East.

JHAH is the first hospital in the Eastern Province, the second in Saudi Arabia, and the third in the Middle East to be accredited with distinction as a Practice Transition Program by the ANCC’s Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs.

The ANCC, which sets the global standard for nursing residency programs, says the accreditation with distinction is awarded only to healthcare organizations that go “above and beyond the standard accreditation requirements” to provide “exceptional quality and excellence in educational programs that improve nursing practice and patient outcomes.”

The accreditation underscores JHAH’s commitment to nursing excellence and world-class, patient-centered care.

Dr. Amani Babgi, Director of the Clinical Practice Education and Research Department at JHAH, said: “The certification is a celebration of the dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment of JHAH’s nursing leadership, educators, and nurse residents who strive every day to provide the highest quality of care to their patients. This accomplishment aligns with JHAH’s strategic goal to cultivate a high-performing and resilient nursing workforce that delivers world-class care to each and every patient.”
